I had the privilege to accompany my aunt, who is a Sister of Mary, on a trip to The Congo. We traveled to some of the convents where she used to live and work. I saw an absolutely stunning country: lush forests, bright orange rivers, dusty red roads, crazy patterns, beautiful faces, but most of all a level of poverty I had never seen before. Still all the people I met were cheerful, creative, brave, eager to learn. The whole experience left a deep impression. Back home, I thought of a way to help the kids of Dinga, the village where we stayed a few weeks. I started drawing African inspired patterns and animals, only by mouse clicking, so no paper involved. This technique turned out not to be my favorite ;) but I chose a few to print as postcard and sold them.. The profit went entirely to the kids of Dinga village.
